statement proposition

The exponential function is strictly increasing

Statement

The exponential function is strictly increasing on R\mathbb{R}. That is, x<yx < y implies exp⁡(x)<exp⁡(y)\exp(x) < \exp(y).

Remarks

The derivative is exp⁡\exp itself, and it is positive. Then positive derivative gives the claim. Also exp⁡(x)→∞\exp(x) \to \infty as x→∞x \to \infty and exp⁡(x)→0\exp(x) \to 0 as x→−∞x \to -\infty. So exp⁡\exp is a bijection from R\mathbb{R} onto (0,∞)(0, \infty). Mathlib states it as Real.exp_strictMono.

Explanations

L1 human

The exponential function always grows as xx grows. So it takes each positive value exactly once.

What this node needs for W1
  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.
