Continuity at a point of a topological space
Definition
Let and be topological spaces, let be a function and let . The function is continuous at when for each neighbourhood of , the preimage is a neighbourhood of .
Remarks
Equivalently, for each neighbourhood of there is a neighbourhood of with . A function is a continuous map if and only if it is continuous at each point of . For metric spaces, continuity at is the same as the epsilon-delta condition at a.
Explanations
L1 human
Continuity at means that you can keep as close to as you want, if you keep close enough to . Neighbourhoods replace the distances of the metric case.
What this node needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.
