Absolute value

Summary

The absolute value of a number is its distance from 00. We write ∣x∣|x| for the absolute value of xx. For a real number, ∣x∣|x| is xx without its sign, for example ∣−3∣=∣3∣=3|-3| = |3| = 3. For a complex number a+bia + b i, the absolute value is the modulus a2+b2\sqrt{a^2 + b^2}.

What this node needs for W2
  • edge equivalent in: a statement for each pair of definitions that a source proves equivalent (0 of 1)
  • edge instance_of in: at least two examples (0 of 2)
  • edge not_instance_of in: at least one non-example (0 of 1)
  • edge specializes both: the more general notions and the special cases (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.

What depends on this

1 node uses this node, directly or through other nodes.
