Subgraph

Definition

Let G=(V,E)G = (V, E) be a graph. A subgraph of GG is a graph H=(V′,E′)H = (V', E') with V′⊆VV' \subseteq V and E′⊆EE' \subseteq E. Each edge of E′E' has both ends in V′V', because HH is a graph.

Remarks

A subgraph is spanning if V′=VV' = V. An induced subgraph keeps all edges of GG between the chosen vertices. In the cycle C4C_4 with vertices 1,2,3,41, 2, 3, 4, the path 1−2−31 - 2 - 3 is a subgraph.

Explanations

L1 human

To get a subgraph, delete some vertices and some edges of a graph. When you delete a vertex, you must also delete the edges at that vertex.

What this node needs for W1
  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.

What this needs

To read this node, read these 2 nodes in this order. The foundations come first, and the list ends with this node.

Each node uses the nodes above it. The colour of the bar on a box shows the evidence level, and the box also gives it as text. The list below has the same nodes.
  • no evidence level
  1. Graph definition
  2. Subgraph definition

What depends on this

5 nodes use this node, directly or through other nodes.
