Subbasis
Definition
Let be a set and let be a set of subsets of . The topology generated by is the smallest topology on that contains . It is the intersection of all topologies on that contain . If is a topological space and is the topology generated by , then is a subbasis of .
Remarks
The open sets of the generated topology are the unions of finite intersections of members of . Here the empty intersection is . Thus the finite intersections of members of form a basis of the generated topology. The open rays and , with , form a subbasis of the usual topology of . The sets , with open, form a subbasis of the product topology.

A subbasis is a set of open sets that you want to have. The topology is the smallest one that makes them all open. You get all open sets by taking finite intersections of them and then arbitrary unions.
What this node needs for W2
- edge instance_of in: one example (0 of 1)
- edge not_instance_of in: one non-example that fails one clause (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.
